Text Box: Getting Better at What We Do…

Text Box: “Working smarter...not harder” is often the prescription for more success and less stress.  Professional development should equip the school business official with the knowledge, skills, and resources to do what we do better—with more accuracy, more efficiency, and more relevance.
Depending upon the experience and expertise of others is not a sign of weakness, but of strength and wisdom. The AASBO professional development program strives to provide this opportunity to its members (as well as school business officials at large) so that we can benefit from one another’s experience, insight, and creativity.

Text Box: · CASBO—The Certified Arkansas School Business Official professional development program provides a well-rounded set of classes that leads to recognition of school business excellence.
· CONFERENCES—Various topics of interest and issues of concern are addressed at conference sites with round-table discussions, instruction from experts in numerous fields, and panels of current school and legislative leaders.
· COMMUNICATION—AASBO members receive a web-enabled newsletter that provides resources and content to inform and educate in school business topics, as well as recent AASBO news.  Members also receive The Arkansas Administrator, an AAEA publication on current news and issues.
